Caerleon Roman Baths
Caerleon (Isca Augusta) was one of only three permanent legionary fortresses in Britain.
At Caerleon visitors can explore the remains of an “natatio” or open air Roman swimming pool which once held 80,000 gallons of water. The pool is now covered to protect the remains. The pool is in the care of CADW – Welsh National Heritage.
