Fowler BB1 Ploughing Engine 15199 - AL8510 - August 29, 1990 seen at the Great Dorset Steam Fair. Fowler Diesel Conversion Ploughing Engine, Reg # AL 8510 # 15199. Built in 1918 as a pair with sister engine # 15198 Reg #AL 8509, and supplied new to Messrs. Beeby Bros of Renstone, Nr. Loughborough, Leics and known as set No. 11. They worked as a steam set until 1950, and were converted to diesel power with Mercedes engines in 1951. They then worked by this power until 1963 when they were pensioned off. They were purchased for preservation in 1988.
