DMU P432 has just arrived at the original Gunnislake Station on a service from Plymouth. The low level or the station platform is noteworthy. The station was replaced in 1994 by a new station a few yards to the south which allowed a low bridge to be removed which crossed the busy Tavistock - Callington Road. The new station also has extensive car parking facilities.

Bere Alston Signal Box. By now train movements were controlled by a ground frame operated by the train crew. The box was being used as a Permanent Way workshop and bothy. In 2021 the signal box was sold to a local group for use as a scout hut and has been extensively renovated and painted in Southern Railway colours.

A very sad looking waiting room and shelter on the up platform. This was restored in the 2000s in anticipation of the reopening of the line to Tavistock which had originally been scheduled for around 2016. However, this reopening which was to have been financed by a housing developer has still not taken place though a campaign continues to return the railway to Tavistock.
