Okehampton Station, Okehampton, Devon - August 2000

Class 08 locomotive 08937 BLUEBELL MEL which was originally the Meldon Quarry shunter. This was sold along with the quarry and the railway to Aggregate Industries and was used to operate trains during the there heritage operation. Okehampton Station when it was operated by the Dartmoor Railway. The station has since been reopened and is part of the national network again operated by Great Western Railway.

Okehampton to Exeter Central special arrives at Exeter Central. This was one of the early services to test the viability of restoring services to Okehampton which had been withdrawn in 1972. It took until November 2021 for daily services between Exeter and Okehampton to become reality!
