    A less than sharp image of the SNCF Chapelon Pacific in steam at Carnforth on a very wet day. Included as it is the only image I have. Understood to now be preserved in Germany. The former Steamtown Railway Museum was based at the ex LMS Carnforth Motive Power Depot and operated as a museum from the early 1970s to the end of 1997. The site is now used as an operational base for the train operating company West Coast Railways.

    Ruston 48DS "THE FLYING FLEA" This loco worked at the Burneside paper mills in Cumbria, delivered in 1951. It is now at the Mid Suffolk Light Railway. The former Steamtown Railway Museum was based at the ex LMS Carnforth Motive Power Depot and operated as a museum from the early 1970s to the end of 1997. The site is now used as an operational base for the train operating company West Coast Railways.

    Deutsche Reichsbahn 01 1104 was acquired by Steamtown, Carnforth in 1975 and stored there until 1996. The locomotive has been repatriated to Germany and is being restored to working order.
