    Number 11 MAITLAND and number 12 HUTCHINSON arrive at Ballasalla Station with a Douglas bound train. At this time there was only a platform serving trains on the Port Erin side of the passing loop.

    The former County Donegal Railways Walker of Wigan built railcars 19 and 20 at Douglas station. At this time they were in rather rundown condition and a rebuild was commenced in the late 1990s. However, this work was suspended and they are now stored in partially restored condition. Perhaps one day these interesting units could be used to return a regular commuter service to the Isle of Man Railway?

    1902 Taylor, Hubbard built steam crane No.3 From 1928 it was used at Laxey Harbour. Restored to working order on the 25th of July 1994. It has been since been sold off island.

    Beyer Peacock 2-6-0 number 10 GH WOOD at Douglas station with a late afternoon departure to Port Erin. This was to be the first Isle of Man Railway train that your web master traveled on. For some strange reason he had flown to the island for his first long day trip and was catching the train back to Ballasalla before strolling back to Ronaldsway.
