Flying Scotsman - Liverpool & Manchester 150 Railtour- 1980
Photographs taken on theLiverpool & Manchester 150 Railtour hauled by 4472 FLYING SCOTSMAN.The railtour operated on March 12, 1980.
(These images had been erroneously identified as being taken on the Troops 150 Railtour – that was a separate tour the following year hauled by Southern Railway Lord Nelson).
PLEASE NOTE - LOWER QUALITY IMAGES:
Negatives for these images which I took on March 12, 1980 have been lurking unprinted for over 40 years.
They were taken using a Rollei 35 compact using Ilford FP4 film.
During around 1980/81 I was experimenting with home processing and printing.
Unfortunately, this set of images where somewhat spoiled by reticulation failure caused by a lack of constant temperature during processing. Therefore, they were never printed.
However, I have decided to scan them and run them through Photoshop and the results are just about reasonable!
