Dart Valley Railway - Torbay and Dartmouth Railway
In 1973 the Dart Valley Railway plc acquired as a going concern British Railways the Paignton to Kingswear line. Initially it had been planned to operate a year round service, however, these plans were abandoned in 1974 and operations became seasonal.
