Hayle - Cornwall's Historic Industrial Port
Once home to two rival industrial concerns - the Copper House Foundry operated by Sandys, Carne and Vivian and Harvey's of Hayle. Eventually Harvey's were to prevail and last into the late 20th Century before being consumed by the United Builder's Merchants Group (UBM) which in turn passed to Jewsons. Today in the 21st Century the Industrial Heritage of Hayle is being conserved as part of quayside developments. These views show aspects of Hayle in the pre-digital age just as awareness of the areas industrial heritage was being awakened.
