TOM ROLT was completed at the Talyllyn Railway works at Towyn Pendre in 1991. She is seen at Towyn Wharf Station on August 06, 2009. The locomotive is named after L.T.C. (Lionel Thomas Caswall) Rolt (1910 - 1974), founder of the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society which secured the future of the Talyllyn Railway in 1951. The Talyllyn Railway becomming the first heritage railway in the World.
