Number 87 an ex – South African Railways NGG 16 Class Garratt built by Cockerill in 1937. Returned to service in 2009 passing through Porthmadog on Saturday October 30, 2010 bound for Caernarfon on the second of the "sponsors specials" which mark the completion of the final section of the rebuilt Welsh Highland Railway. Scheduled services over this section of track were due to commence early in 2011.
