Fixed stop signal at Buckfastleigh Station. A calling on arm is used for running the locomotive around. Beyond Buckfastleigh the line once continued to Ashburton until the construction of the A38 trunk road in 1971. At present there is a campaign to preserve the station site at Ashburton from redevelopment should it prove possible to rebuild the line to Ashburton.
