Boscarne Junction Station is a new station built in the 1990s by the Bodmin & Wenford Railway at the location where GWR line from Bodmin General made connection with the Southern Railway Bodmin North to Wadebridge / Padstow line. The new station is presented in Southern Railway / British Railways Southern Region style. The Bodmin & Wenford Railway is currently proposing to extend the line north to Wadebridge along the former Southern Railway route which was finally closed to all traffic in 1978 over a decade after the withdrawal of passenger services.
Churchward designed GWR 2-8-0T 4247 has been released from its train at Boscarne Junction and is seen heading towards Wadebridge whilst running around its train. December 26, 2009.
