The approach to the LSR Launceston Station is through the cutting on the site of the former LSWR / SR North Cornwall line.
Darjeeling and Himalaya Railway "B" Class locomotive visited the Launceston Steam Railway in August 2009. She was built by Sharp Stewart Steam Locomotive works in Glasgow in 1889. The locomotive is now privately preserved in the UK.
