Vintage Unipower Breakdown Truck BJB775 at Launceston Steam Railway. Universal Power Drives was established in the 1930s in the UK and specialised in producing logging trucks. Built as a forestry tractor in 1938 by it is fitted with a very powerful winch. The engine is a Gardner 4LW which drives through a 10 speed transmission. it has been owned by the Launceston Steam Railway for over 50 years and has been used to transport inwith a trailer railway materials from as far away as North Wales.
