The island platform waiting room and shelter. The roof has recently been replaced and the building repaired. Prior to rationalisation Callington / Gunnislake branch trains departed from the far side of this platform. It is likely when the Bere Alston to Tavistock section is reopened by the early 2020s this platform and shelter will be required again.

The London and South Western Railway signal box at Bere Alston which closed in 1970 has survived as a permanant way workers' base.
