    GWR Class 150 DMU 150248 seen stabled in the normally unused Platform 2. This had failed earlier in the day when operating the Tamar Valley Line service to Gunnislake. In platform 3 is 150239 which had taken over later services on the Tamar Valley Line and is seen here waiting to work the 16:36 to Gunnislake.

    Vestiges of the rail replacement bus service between Bere Alston and Tavistock linger on with some services on Stage Coach 87 connecting with trains at Bere Alston. The village is about half a mile from the village via a fairly steep hill!

    View towards Tavistock. The portaloo was removed a few minutes after I took this photo. Work had been going on overnight to remove trees along the line which posed a hazard to trains and were causing bank instability using road-rail vehicles. The timber being recovered to an stacked in the former goods yard beyond the island platform.
