HMS SCYLLA anchor displayed at Plymouth North Road Station. Leander Class Frigate HMS SCYLLA was the last of the Leander Class to be built at HM Dockyard Devonport being laid down in 1967 and commissioned in 1970. She was decommissioned in 1993 and scuttled off Whitsand Bay, Cornwall as an artificial reef on March 27, 2003. Over 250 marine species have been recored as living on the vessel by 2021. Unfortunately several recreational divers have lost their lives whilst entering the wreck despite advice from the National Marine Aquarium not to do so.
