Branch Line Society Third Rail Centenary Tracker Liverpool James Street Platform 2. Platform 2 retains its original condition decorated with relief sculptures, early BR and Mersey Railway signage. The 6 car train comprised class 508 units 508111 and 508112. The third rail centenary being commemorated by the tour was that of the London and South Western Railway. The class 508 units were before delivery to Merseyside were allocated to the former LSWR/Southern Railway/Region Strawberry Hill Depot.
