    The Cornwall Railway Liskeard Railway Station serving the mainline platforms at Liskeard opened in 1859. It is separate from the Liskeard and Looe Railway station. In recent years the station building which is located high on the cutting sides above the station platforms has been refurbished with the provision of a glazed waiting / coffee bar area on the south side facing the railway.

    Camborne Station historic information plaque which gives details of the pioneering work of Richard Trevithick who produced the world's first successful road vehicle "The Puffing Devil" . The design of which was developed into the first railway locomotive.

Named 800306 'HAROLD DAY DSC / ALLAN LEONARD LEWIS VC' The biograph of Lance Corporal Allan Lewis a former GWR servant who was omitted from the GWR World War I role of honour can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allan_Leonard_Lewis The naming of the train correcting the omission. Sub Lieutenant Harold Day was GWR apprentice at Swindon Works who joined the Royal Naval Air Service during World War I. He was a noted air combat ace killed in action in 1918.
