The Isle of Man Steam Packet Berth - Fleetwood - February 22, 2003
The former Terminal of the Norwest Hovercraft Company was extended and mainly converted into a Public House / Restaurant / Night Club which traded as "The Old Station" as it had been built on the site of the former Fleetwood Railway terminus.
However, perhaps it might have been better known as the "Old Sea Terminal".
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company maintained a seasonal presence in a small office at the north end of the building used mainly for checking in passengers.
These photographs were taken shortly before the building was demolished in 2003 to expand the vehicle marshalling area for P&O and later Stena Line services to Ireland. For the remaining seven years of seasonal Steam Packet operations passenger check in was conducted in the open on the quayside!
