View along the standard gauge branch line towards the Montgomery Canal which it crossed on a bridge to make junction with the Cambrian Railways (GWR) route between Oswestry and Welshpool. This line was originally the Cambrian Railway Llanfyllyn Branch which was subsequently by-passed with deviation. However, it was retained as far as Llanymynech Lime Works. Following the closure of the Lime Works the "Rock Siding" as it had become known was used by the GWR for the storage or redundant rolling stock until recovery took place in 1939.

The restored "Gin Wheel" winding house on the lower section of the narrow guage railway which lined Llanymynech Quarry to the lime kilns and wharf at Pant. Operating on the self acting principal where heavier wagons heading down hill hauled up empties returning to the quarry. It is very similar to inclines found elsewhere in Wales at slate and granite quarries.
