St Michael's Church Roof was undergoing repairs during October 2016 when these views were taken. Almost the entire structure was covered in a large "tent" at this very exposed location.

Lydford Castle, a former notorious jail and courthouse used until the early 19th Century. Despite its appearance it is not a motte and bailey castle. The earth mound surrounds the lower story.
