Montgomery Canal: Pool Quay to Gallowstree Bridge 117 - April 08, 2021
Canal near Abbey Barn which can just be seen on the hill to the right. This takes its name from the former Strata Marcella Abbey located nearby. Severely damaged during the Owain Glyndwr uprising in the 15th Century the Abbey was surrendered during Henry VIII dissolution. Its stone being reused on several local church building projects.
